Hi, I'm Matthew.

I try to do good work and help the people around me do their best work too.

I've spent the last decade or so working on digital products — leading design teams, shaping product strategy, and getting into the weeds on the work itself when it matters.

Most recently I was at The Athletic, part of The New York Times, where I managed a team of senior designers whose work touched some of the most visible and impactful parts of the product. I like the big picture and I like getting it exactly right.
